on the Use of Water Management Facilities of Intergovernmental
Status on the Rivers Chu and Talas

Co-chairmen and members of the Commission from the Kyrgyz Republic and Republic of Kazakhstan, ADB representatives, invited representatives of stakeholders, NGOs and mass media.
The following matters have been submitted for the agenda of the session:
On the implementation of decisions of the first session of the commission.
Report on the activity of the Secretariat of the Commission.
On the composition of the Commission and distribution of responsibilities
On approval of Statute on the Secretariat
On the implementation of decisions of the fifth session of Interstate Kazakhstan-Kyrgyzstan Joint Commission on bilateral cooperation (Astana city, July 3, 2006)
On the development of Perspective plan for funding of operational costs of interstate water management facilities till 2010 (item 4.7).
On draft protocol on amendments and addenda of 2000 Agreement (items 4.8, 4.9).
On the working plan of the commission for 2007.
Decisions of the session of the Commission:
To approve the report on the activity of the secretariat of the commission.
To take notice of orders approved by co-chairmen of the Commission on the composition and distribution of responsibilities among members of the Commission with changes to the composition of the Commission.
To approve Statute on Secretariat of the Commission considering introduced amendments (items 3.5, 3.6).
To approve plan of joint co-financing of operational costs of interstate water management facilities for 2007. Perspective plan till 2010 should be elaborated by the Secretariat and reported at the bext session of the Commission.
Draft protocol on the introduction of amendments and addenda to 2000 Agreement should be submitted for consideration of expert group with the participation of the representatives from the ministries of justice, economics and budget planning, foreign affairs.
Co-chairmen of the Commission should initiate matter on budget funding of the Secretariat of the Commission for 2008.
Approve working plan of the commission for 2007.Next session of the commission on the use of water management facilities of intergovernmental status on the rivers Chu and Talas will be conducted jointly with the session of ICWC in April of 2007 in Almaty.
